Rapidly increasing adverse effects of climate change on vulnerable communities require effective media coverage to be recognized as an urgent priority and to be included in public discourse.
Reliable and accurate information on available local solutions needs to be promoted on mainstream and new digital media platforms to ensure that mass awareness and public demand for sustainable solutions also increases.
Through this initiative, “Promoting Media Literacy and Information To Tell Climate Change stories,“ Indus Earth Trust will dovetail UNESCO priority areas of Fact checking news and information, education for sustainable development and media literacy, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction tie in with Pakistan’s development imperatives into media capacity building for content creation.
